Or Santa Clara University in CA if you want to live on the west coast. All great schools.

Lol, Red06, you love the weather? It rains a bit too often for my taste, but we've been having gorgeous weather lately and I'm really looking forward to the warmer winters with (hopefully) more snow! Other than that, I would totally agree- ND is the whole experience: the academics, the spiritual life, the social atmosphere, and the football (my first ND game was actually the third football game I've EVER been to, lol), which makes it hard to find a perfect backup school for ND.

Red, aren't you a freshman? I may be wrong in that but if I am right, give it some time, second semester isn't nearly as good. However, there will be snow. Anyways, just give it a full year, then see what you think lol. Right now it is beautiful however!

My son visited Villanova and I have to say, I was very much impressed. Beautiful campus, great programs. The train runs right through campus to downtown and neighboring suburbs, so great access. More of a regional school than ND, but still very much proud of being Catholic in identity, as opposed to Georgetown.
