<p>Can't decide which school to go to =( Tech has a better program for my major but I love Notre Dame's atmosphere. But my major at notre dame is meh... Help?!</p>
<p>Hi Lemonjuice14. I have a child at VT and one going to ND, so let me know if you have specific questions. I love both schools, but they are very different. Depending on your major, as you state, put that check where you think it belongs. Other items to think about, in my own opinion are:</p>
<ul>
<li>Notre Dame has great pride, but VT has a spirit about it that can not be described by anyone unless they go there.</li>
<li>Notre Dame’s placement and internship opportunities are amazing where as VT is very good.</li>
<li>VT is huge, but very friendly, ND is smaller and and seems as if it is easier to see people you know.</li>
<li>The food at VT is top in the country, ND is good</li>
<li>Greek life very popular at VT (you do not need to belong to go to the social events), no Greek life at ND. This is a positive based on your own feelings.</li>
<li>Both schools have great Alumni that are very active.</li>
<li>Weather at VT is nicer</li>
<li>ND is easier to get to. Not sure where you are from, but think about how often you plan to go home and look into flight schedules getting to VT, not easy. However, if you are in driving distance, there is a great network of students willing to give people rides.</li>
