Does Notre Dame have any sort of information sessions you can attend like after a tour?? Or anything along these lines?

and what would you suggest I see on my visit? any certain events happening this Friday or particular places to check out/eat?

Caliboi, before the tour you will have a 1 hour information session with an Admissions Rep. She or He will cover about any material your mind could ever imagine. I dont know of any current events, however you must check out Grotto. If you can try booking a room at the Morris Inn. Good Luck and if you have any more questions about the tour, please ask, cuz I was just on one about a week ago.

good luck

well, if i recall correctly, they have an information session before each of the guided tours. the tour will cover just about every main thing you should know about the campus, but you can always ask your guide questions of your own afterwards. If you were to go down on a weekend, i would suggest a home football weekend, because then you can see the band play in front of bond hall and just the amazing spirirt of all the ND fans. those weekends get very, very crowded though.

From what I understand, the info session is aimed at students who haven't applied yet. I remember reading that they recommend coming before applying, I would guess for that very reason.

I went April 3rd, the day after I got my acceptance letter. When I was checking in, I told the admissions officer I was an accepted student, and she set me up with a personal meeting with an admissions officer and a separate tour with someone in my major. If you can get the one on one attention, I would definitely recommend it. My parents ran out of stuff to ask in the meeting, so we definitely got everything answered.

yes, there were two separate tours offered. One was geared toward prospective and other toward admitted. Both covering different aspects. The admitted seemed more like they were recruiting and the prospective was more about delivering information

other than Blue/Gold game weekend, which was last week.

I don't recommend you visit on a home football weekend, because that is not really a balanced picture of Notre Dame life 24/7 for 9 months of the year. Fun though it is, that's not really the basis for a lifetime decision.

Check out the bookstore courts near the end of the day 6:00 pm and onward, huge basketball tournament taking place down there, could be interesting to you

im going this friday. the tour is @ 11am, so what time would the information session be at, 10am?

The info sessions are at 10 and 2.

ya Caliboi, you need to arrive in the admissions reception area at about 950 to fill out an information packet sheet thing, and then the info session will start at about 1000 and then your walking tour at 11.

I hope you have a great time! I know you will

Tell us how it goes
