I sent my application and supplement electronically on 10/30 and 10/31. The school I'm applying to has a post-marked deadline of 11/1. Will I be able to qualify for early admissions?

Since 10/31 < 11/01, one would imagine so, dontcha think?

Yeah sorry. It’s just that the admission rep I was talking to said that it would take 2-3 days for my application to be processed. So I’m concerned about whether or not this means I won’t qualify.

Schools spend tons of money and time to get people to apply, either in Early or RD rounds. What do you think they will do to an app that comes in 1 minute too late or is postmarked on Nov 2nd? Instant delete? Toss into the shredder?

None of these. They are happy to be getting your application. Relaxation is called for.

Thank T26. I’m just another fretting senior, that’s all.

The college’s processing time after receipt of your application does not count. Once received it is deemed receive even if the college then take two weeks to process it.

So…as long as I submit it electronically before the deadline date, it’s all good?

Yes. That’s right. There aren’t really very many more ways to tell you so.

You did fine.

Applying to college is really stressful (and so is the waiting), but, honestly, you don’t have to worry about this.

I’m fairly certain its 11:59:59 on nov 1st but I’m not sure of the time zone.

Eastern time. There’s a section somewhere on CA FAQ that explains what time is deadline for the different zones. Can’t find it.
