I think Debs was one but not Gospel of Wealth...that would have been like Carnegie and I put social dariwinsin but im probably wrong
i remember that one. i think social gospel was a choice.
oh and what was most important in the forming of republicans??
one answer was kansas-nebraska act but i dont think i picked it
i picked kansas nebraska act. another wrong choice was something about stephen douglas being elected somewhere, i think. another choice was Uncle Toms Cabin. i didnt pick that because i thought that that was written a little bit later than 1854. hopefully im right.
and what was the difference between quakers and puritans????
i put that the quakers didnt banish people, or something like that.

Same about the quakers.

I put Kansas-Nebraska act

The Debs one was something about 1/3 living one way and 2/3 living a different way. I thought about debs cause he's socialist, but I put Jane Addams. Wrong?

so what was the answer to the question about "what native american tribes did spanish people meet?" i think i put hopi and zuni.

there was also a question about what person is associated with the great awakening. i put johnathan edwards.

also, what was the one about jimmy carters foreign policy?

and then the cartoon about theodore roosevelt. was the answer he divided the republican voters and wilson won?
i put eugene debs. i thought jane addams was more of a caretaker-type than a political-speaker-type. but it could have been her.

For the question regarding the 70s, I put high inflation and slow economic growth because the Arab Oil Embargo and '73 recession came to mind. I also put Eugene Debs because of the passage's explicit mentioning of capitalism.

EDIT: And the answer to the Carter question was "defend human rights". I didn't put it, though... argh. I think I probably scored a 680 -690 on this. As for Lit... :(

I put iroquis I think.

I put Edwards, I thought about Cotton Mathers because of my US lit where I read some literature by Mathers regarding puritans. But Edwards was probably more influential.

I forget the Carter questions, could you refres my memory?

Yeah I put that for the TR one too. Because he formed teh Bull Moose party to fun against Taft, which lead to a Wilson victory.

Yeah that's what i put for the 70s too, remembering soemthing about inflation and stagflation.

Didn't get the carter question.

I put Jane Addams because she was a part of the progressive movement wasn't she? And didn't they try to help the poor. I wish I put Debs though.

damn. i thought about putting human rights and i even marked it in the test booklet. but then as i was gridding, i put something about defense spending or something.

also, what was the one about "ever since the 1820s, both state and federal funding has been spent on ... "

and, was virginia a proprietary colony?

What were someother answer choices for teh Carter one? I don't remember what I put. so 1)Human Rights2)decrease involvement in middle east 3) defense spending, and what else?

I can't remember the 1820s one

I put proprietary colony too. I remember there was another choice about it being a business venture.

What abou tthe 1945-1970 US econ one.
I can't remember the 1820s one
there was a transportation choice, which i didnt pick because cars werent around in the 1820s. i picked "defense spending" or something.
I put iroquis I think.
but they were in new york. the spaniards were down south. i dont think it was iroquois.

i remember a question about "what did prohibition, womens suffrage, and something else have in common?" and i put they were done by women. does anyone remember that question?

and i remember the 1945-1970 one. that one was weird because it was prosperous at first, but then slumped. i cant remember exactly what i put.

The question asked something the main goal during the Carter administration

ooh, I put proprietary colony as well, after changing the previous answer (business venture)

Was virginia a proprietary?

And what did Jack Turner Do?
the choices were modernization, urbanization, social stratification, and something else

I put modernization
I totally remember taking notes on how the frontier " democratized, modernized and something else us"

oh, twosticks, that one was what frederick jackson turner think of the western frontier.

i just did this for gov, and i put social mobility. they werent modern on the frontier. they were farmers.

what was the one about the general who said something bad. i put douglas macarthur.

and what was the one about what did dwight eisenhower do? i put suez canal in 1956. i think it goes 1945-1948 truman, 1948-1952 truman, 1952-1956 eisenhower, 1956-1960 eisenhower, 1960 jfk. is that right?

also, what was the one about andrew jacksons election? was it primaries?

oh, and joseph mccarthy = communism.

i will compile these after a few more posts.

yeah, macarthur is right. that was from the korean war.

the eisenhower/suez canal is also correct

I left 6 blank on the whole thing and answered everything else.

For the carter one I guessed that he initiated more strategic arms or something, the choice that had "strategic" in it.

For virginia I put business venture (the question asked about Virginia in the 17th CENTURY aka 1600s)...jamestown was founded in 1607 as a joint-stock company so I put business ventue.

andrea, i also put eugene debs after eliminating everything else but eugene debs and choice A. i'm hoping the answer was debs.
i forgot what i put for the "ever since 1820s" one but i guessed logically.
for the theodoer roosevelt cartoon I put the one with wilson in it...I couldnt draw any other parallel from the other answer choices, and the cartoon had the name "Wilson" in it so I think we're right.

i'm pretty sure it was the kansas nebraska act that had to do with the republican question; that's what I put.

Damn got the iroquois one wrong.

It didn't slump until AFTER 1970 (right? lol I forget), but I still don't remember what I put.

I put women too.

Jackson Turner, I put social mobility, because he wrote the Turner Frontier Thesis which say that people move west to move up in class.

oh damn i think dwight eisenhower is suez crisis i omitted that one though
im not sure about douglas macarthur it was him or eisenhower...
and jack turner man -_-
joseph mccarthy is right

can you guys remember more quote ones? i think there was one about FDRs quarantine speech. or that might have been from a practice test.
