November 2008 SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2

@andreeab: Answers choices were three absurdly high values, 6.4 or so, and 3.4. The answer was the 6.4.

Ladder one:

A: 20something?
B: 20somthing?
C: 11.5 (?)
D: 6.2
E: 3.4

The function one was either... 0 only, 5 only or 0 and 5.

It was 0 and 5, wasn't it? Cause both were undefined...

Both had zeros in the equation. The only debate is as to if there is a difference between 0/x and x/0.

A function is not defined at a removable discontinuity. So yes, it was 0 and 5.

x/0 and 0/x? Of course there's a difference...zero divided by anything is zero, but anything divided by zero is undefined.

And like JJJJ1234 pointed out, removable discontinuity plays no role here. It's not a limit question, but rather a function. Thus, 0 and 5.

And the box plots...I put down only III (c). The range was definitely larger in the second box. As for answer (e), I and III, I didn't think (I) was right, since the first plot was like a 5 unit spread, and its median splitting into 2 unit and 3 unit spreads, while the other one was like...8 units long, and split evenly or something. But I was a bit rushed then, so I could be wrong.

GUYS!
It is definitely 0 and 5! end of discussion
i don't know what i put..either 1 or 1 and 3.

Ladder one is deifnitely 6.8. It was suppose to be in the range between 70 degress and 80 degress not include 70 or 80 degrees, and 6.8 was the only one that fit in the range.

wait, i plugged in both degrees, and there was only one match!
quicksand, your point about between 70 and 80, but not including 70, 80, does that really matter?

Nah, I plugged 70 and 80 in also and the right answer was obvious.

This was one of the early questions, which are generally way easier (think harder math 1).

Anyone else get a big wave a ABCDEDCBA or so near the beginning or am I confusing this with physics?

It was inclusive, but that doesn't even matter. The answer was 6.8.

And, oh, yeah, I put III for the boxplot one.

Yeah, it didn't matter, but I just wanted to say it, lol. Anyone else make a more comprehensive list, because there are a few questions that lolilaughed missed.

I completely and utterly failed. Went strong in the beginning then at the end completely froze up....
9 Omits...but i guessing I got about all the ones I answered correct....
T_T...<---failure

i remember getting on the lower part of the second column (25~50)
DDD then some other answers DDD then some random answers
anyone?

Oh..yeah..the ladder was 6.8...That's what I got..
Values between 3.5 and 7.1...

Oh..yeah..the ladder was 6.8...That's what I got..
Values between 3.5 and 7.1...

Haha how can you guys remember those sequences. I was too busy trying to finish everything, lol.

lol i finished and went through over my scantron
just to make sure i didn't leave any blanks and noticed the sequence :P

Dang, how much time did you have left?
