November 2008 SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2

I think most of the questions we don't have yet are the easy ones from the beginning, the ones where were like "blah blah cosine... NEXT QUESTION PLOX". We've got most of the hard ones.

Seems like I missed the 0, 5 problem and maybe the boxplot, probably something else in there that I didn't get, along with 5 omits. Looks like mid-high 700s for me.

Hopefully that will be good enough for top electrical engineering schools, although I know 800 would be ideal, I can get by, right?

Wait so how many questions do we have already?

I got an AA omit AA omit A. There's gotta be at least one wrong in there...

future. i'm pretty sure your FUTURE for top EE schools seems very hopeful with high 700s.
It looks like i might have missed the boxplots, although i knew about the range, i think i put I only...hopefully i'm wrong. I really want an 800!

Anyone remember the one with xy = 20 and x+y=10?

I got 1/2...

Haha, everytime after I take a test, I figure out how to do the problems that stumbled me and I'm feel regret...ughh why does this always happen to me?

@Arachnotron, yeah it's 1/2; did it on my Ti-89 lol (Ti-89 made my life so much easier...)

for some reason, i do not remember the box plot question at all...hmm

Was that the last one? I was halfway through the algebra before time was called. I was pretty frustrated at that.

Wow....I got the 1/x + 1/y one right at first..but thought I was wrONG LOl...

Wow, the posts are getting so screwed up. I just posted and it went to page 26 lol.

Yeah, I just found the roots of
y(10-y) = 20; then realized that both the roots together multiply to twenty, so they're both the possible solutions.

YES!

last one was 53.12 around that number

I actually thought of CC on the boxplot question, knew there was gonna be a dispute :D

Pretty sure I had 1 and 3 for the boxpolt but it might have been 3 only... or 1 only... :-P

Knew enough make an education guess, but I was never 100% sure.

Yeah the xy one was 1/2.

Lol, I totally skipped the box plot one since I didn't review standard deviation or anything related to that.

That xy question was tricky as hell. Even if I don't get an 800, I'm just proud I solved it, lol.

^Haha, yeah it was hard, but good thing my Ti-89 did most of the work, lol.

^I am ashamed. I got that answer within 10seconds and then thought it wasn't the right answer cause I had 2 values....
<---moron
What do you guys think a 9 omit is?...
I don't want to live anymore

Well, the trick was to use the two values...

1/first root + 1/second root = answer

9 omit, 41 correct is about a 770-780
