^._. Thanks Arach I realize that now ;'(
By the way, why did you take it again?

Does anyone know what the Oct curve was? I really want to know...

I took it again because of a very funny story:

for oct, my parents wanted me to take subj tests, but I didn't feel I was ready. So I just made a new CB account, took them under that, and then scored well. I can't call, obviously, to have them merge the accounts or something because it'd look like I was gaming the system, so my only choice was to take it again under my "real" account.

Sucks, doesn't it?

wow that sucks!
i would have called though lol

Haha, yeah. Sad thing is, I know my last 800 was "luck" because I guessed on a LOT. At least this time, if I get an 800, I'll know it's 'cause I actually knew what I was doing. No harm done, really.

Lol, I wonder if you could make a new account and retake SAT I and II and apply to college without getting caught...then again CB will probably catch you?

Haha, I mean, it's not fair because class of '10 gets to choose scores. So I felt somewhat justified in making a new account :)

Wow, you got an 800 on the last one, but it was useless because of the new account? Man that really SUCKS! I would go insane.

quicksand, what a nice point!

Haha, that would be so awesome, but with the new class of '10 SAT policy, it won't even matter anymore, lol.

I don't really mind...I actually enjoy doing these tests. Math in school is so boring and routine, so I enjoy the spice of an SAT-flavored problem :)

^Haha, true math lover right there. Actually, I enjoy mental math more.

Ah, mental math? My Chinese friend's great at it, but I'm merely average. My skills have been improving though; I only used a calculator once during the December '07 math section and got a 780 :)

^O.o nice! Yeah, it's called Number Sense in Texas. 10 minute test with 80 problems ranging from arithmetic to calculus. There's always tricks like 250 x 888 is 222000. When you multiply by 25 divide the number by 4 and add two zeros.

On the problem where It said h(x)=sinx. g(x)=cosx
g(f(x))=h(x). What is f(x)? wouldnt the answer be tanx?

Here is why: cosx/1 * sinx/cosx (tanx)= sinxcosx/cosx. The two cosx's cancel out and you are left with sinx(1)/(1) --> sinx

Any thoughts?

i've heard anhtimmy saying about the number sense thing too. sounds really interesting! =D
250 x 4 x 222 = tadah!

Umm I forgot, but I remember using my Ti-89 test function and plugged in all the answers until I found one that said "true" for the function.

was that #47 or so?
i just randomly picked an equation, and plug into my calculator, got it on 2nd try,i think it was D,i dont remember the choices

quicksand!
what part of texas do you live!?!?!
i live in san antonio

Doesn't work that way. If it were cos x * sin x/cos x then yes, it would cancel out, but the question was cos(g(x)).
