November 2010 SAT - Critical Reading

Does anyone recall the context for farmhouse’s answer “a ritual between daughter and father”… which question was it and how was it worded?? or is it the right answer??

Was the passage on piano experimental? D:

^for echolocation version

I heard there was two different versions of test

One with the bat and one with red brick house

one with the bat was a totally new one (I got this)

BUt one with the red brick house had 6 sections from 2005 test…

I’m so angry…

Bunnielover, are you talking about the one with the boy whose mom made him play it (i think it was a piano, or keyboard maybe), because if so then that was not experimental… i had that section and i had an experimental math section, (4 total math). i had two 25 minute maths in a row, does anybody know which was more likely to be the experimental?? i have a feeling that it was the only section i didnt miss any on =(

did ANYONE have the passage on colleges building moral character?
or the question on wilderness being ______ (untrammeled, etc.)

On the echolocation version? Nope. And I had the math experimental, so it was likely the reading experimental if you had it on the echolocation version.

@BDoyle:

Yes, I had one about the colleges building moral character. It was the one that debated whether it was the priority of colleges to have the professors teach their subjects or to have them teach the values/morals to the students, correct?

Same i had that. i also had a reading experimental. Maybe that was the experimental? And untrammeled was definitely an answer!

@backfing: yeah, it was possibly a reading experimental (since I don’t recall having a math experimental, but I had all the other Readings). But also, I put Untrammeled as well for the one CR question dealing with the ecologists + environment because I had thought that untrammeled meant unchanged, but it actually means unrestrained, so it was wrong. Does anyone recall the correct answer to this questions? It was the last SC to one of the CR sections.

so you think untrammeled was an answer to a reading experimental? possibly?

yes! it was that about the two college ways of learning. i hope it’s experimental, though i’m a little confused how to determine that.

and no, i doubt untrammeled was the answer. i put it down, but i’m probs wrong. the question’s answer should have been something about pristine, untouched, or untamed wilderness.

Predict my score if I got -2 in Math (ALDFJDKFALD stupid mistakes), -7/8 in CR, and -1 in Writing?

^ 760 on M, 690-700 on CR, and if get 10 on essay 780-800

Oh my god if I get a 600 something in reading I will shoot myself.
Good thing it’s my first time…

^aren’t you the valedictorian of your HS…S? I saw your chance thread somewhere. You were predicting a 2300+ is that correct?

okay… i really need a consolidated list for
athlete, bat, artist, and piano guy version

ive looked at all posts, but i cannot find a single organized one.
pleaaase help me out!!

@backfing right now I’m 2nd in my class, but I’m expecting valedictorian soon because the current valedictorian is doing really badly this year :)

And yes, every practice test I’ve taken I’ve gotten 2300+. It’s just during the real thing, I second guess myself and, in the case of math, don’t read the questions correctly. :(
