What was the answer to the one that said “which of the following was not an innovation of the nineteenth century industrialization”…i left it blank cuz 1. couldnt decide if waterpower/fossil fuels were used during that time and 2. thought the assembly line was made during the 20th century

That was a tricky one. I went with the assembly line, because it didn’t really come into fruition until about 1908 with Ford Motor Company.

anybody remember what they put for the industrial unionism question?

I don’t remember the question (or choices).

six more:
-All of the following are true of reconstruction in the south except: conservatives regained political control?

-Which of the following is true of the Lowell system? - forgot what I put

-Which of the following was not true during WWII - Russians were deported back to Russia?

-The UN was created to - I forgot the exact wording but it was a fairly easy one

-Supporters of Taft-Hartley Act were worried about (I think that was the question.) - forgot what I put

-One of the questions was a quote by Truman and the answer was his executive order to integrate the military.

Also what’s the normal number you can get wrong to get an 800?

Lowell system is using young women for labor
UN was created to ensure peace and balance of power
Taft-Hartley were against unions
I don’t remember the reconstruction one
I agree with the other two you answered, haha.

I think 6 or 7?

For the reconstruction one, I put increase in land owning blacks in the South, but i don’t know…

hmmm, you may be right on that one. I wasn’t very confident with my answer. Anybody else care to chime in?

also, I think I remember a question about the 15th amendment. Not sure though, could have been on one of my practice tests.

There was one regarding a trend in the 80s (I think) where I put “migration to the sun belt” as the answer. Can anyone confirm this?

[because I have no will power, I came back to the thread xD]

Pointing out that the source for Standard oil answer says it’s the first multinational corporation, not first multimillionaire corporation.

^lol

@mastablasta - I remember an answer choice being a migration to the sunbelt but have no memory of a question asking about a trend in the 80s.

jlewis, I probably got the wording of the question wrong. Did you go with that answer choice though?

At the Standard Oil question I chose the answer with the horizontal integration. I was pretty sure about that one until I searched wikipedia and found out that apparently it was multinational too. I’m still not sure which one is better.

You guys are great- I forgot a lot of the Qs immediately after. I guessed a lot. I put horizontal integration, changed the slave Q from pre WW1 to post Civil war in the last second (Horrible, right?), I skipped out the sunbelt Q and yes, it was the assembly line (Henry Ford invented it much later).
Are you sure it wasn’t that the colonists were profit oriented and wanted gold?

Oh well. Serves me right for cramming an entire syllabus, that I have never studied, in 3 weeks.

Does anyone remember the question about George Kennan?

^which one was that

Also did anyone get conformist/alienated for the question regarding the two post wwii books?

^yep!

.

crickets chirping

Another one I remembered: it was a quote by Stephen A. Douglass in which he was advocating popular sovereignty.
