November 2011 SAT Results Discussion

CR 800
M 650
W 800
2250, up from 2150 last time!

:)
Already signed up to retake in December, so it looks like I can just focus on math.
GOOD DAY

LovesBrown- Math Math Math…
I’m the same way. Sooo gay.

^^ Lol 800-650-800 makes me die inside.

I don’t know whether that’s good or not. Thanks? C:
How much of a pain in the *** would it be to raise math, do you think? It’s kind of my Achilles’ heel.
Furthermore, I know that 700 is the anecdotal “threshold” for top schools… does it matter with 800s in CR/W?

790 W 11 Essay
760 M
660 CR - don’t know what happened here…got a perfect reading score on PSAT and at least a 750 on every practice test. Maybe forgot to skip a bubble when I skipped a question? Pretty upset with this…gonna have to retake

But 2210 total

Predicted: CR 700, M 800, W 750
Actual: CR 650 M 800 W 750, 10 essay
Composite:2200

Wow, I guess I really cannot improve in CR. I really expected a 700+. FINALLY got a good essay score, would have been nice to see that combined with my 80 W MC score from last time, but whatever. The essay really is screwed up. All I did was change my format and I went from a 6 to a 10, with very little prep. Just read sparknotes:) Cannot believe another 800 in Math!! :)

LovesBrown it is because I find math easy (~800) and CR hard (~650), so it is frustrating to see you struggle in what I find easy and excel in what I find hard.

Kieran, gotcha. :stuck_out_tongue: 800s in math and relatively lowish scores in CR/W similarly frustrate me.
Wanna take my math in December?

I just got my scores

yesplz

thisisnttwitter?

780 CR, 740 M, 750 W.
But already got an 800 on W so I’m hoping colleges will just gloss over that.
Up 60 points so not bad. And my superscore is 2320.

Predicted: CR 700, M 740, W 750, 11 essay
Actual: CR 710 M 790 W 730, 70 MC, 10 essay
Composite: 2230

Pretty sad. I know I predicted less but I wanted 2300+. Also, why my writing was so low I’ll never know. I was expecting higher after a 36 English and 36 Reading on the ACT…
Math came from no where though, especially not after a 33 Math ACT. I dunno what happened.

Yale is my top choice, but I dunno if it’s so attainable now.

btw, if anyone is curious about percentiles…
96 CR
99 Math
97 Writing

800 CR, 780 M, 670 W (8 essay)

wow… I really did not see this coming… My first time taking it and I thought I had an OK essay… I guess I should have practiced… Do most colleges look at your writing score or not?
