I just wanted to say how i think NYU is fooling alot of people by telling them that there is a good chance that November SAT/SATII scores will get to them in time to evaluate (although they do say there is no guarantee i give them that) when it says EXPLICITLY on the collegeboard site that the November scores will be sent (only sent to the colleges, not received or processed) on November 24, and giving NYU a few days to process them they probably wont be able to look at the scores for the first time until around November 30th, maybe even later because collegeboard says sometime it takes 1-2 weeks to send scores, which could mean them being sent the latest December 8th. I spoke to a few people who have worked in the admissions office of various colleges (including IVYs) and they said that colleges have to be done looking at everyone profile and basically make a decision by December 1st. How can NYU say that November SAT scores usually get in on time considering all these factors?

Anyone else agree or have similar concerns?

both my parents work at NYU, and I’ve had them get this answered honestly (by friends/coworkers - not BSing admissions reps) and they will look at your November scores. But honestly, unless it’s that big of a change, chances are the decision will be the same.

ok so i would beleive that, except what about applicants that arent technically eligible yet without those scores (ie. only have 1 satII score in, or none in at all)? See according to your logic, NYU would only change its decision if their is a great difference between the scores already received, and the November scores. But some people are relying on those scores for eligibility to get accepted. So NYU cant really base any opinion on those kids at all, because they have no previous scores. Furthermore, i doubt that if they receive the November scores in December time, which is crunch time, they wouldnt have already made a final decision on everyones application.
