Who is taking the Nov. SAT Bio E/M ? We can discuss the questions here.any problems? What do you think will deff. be on the sat II bio?

Hi, I'm taking the SAT Bio in December, but I'd still like to be in on this thread, considering I pretty much have no idea what I am doing. I got the Barron's book yesterday, what are you using to study for it?

I really need the test for a summer program, otherwise I don't think I would be rushing into this test with only half a year of AP Bio so far

Hey--new to the boards.

I'll be taking bio M in november. I am from a super small public school, 70 ppl in total. I'm am pretty much the only one that has ever aspired for anything from here. I'd like to get into cornell arts and sciences. Anyways, I've not been very well educated. I've done an AP equivalent biology course independently and I am just now learning everything other than evolution and population genetics. I'm really worried about the test. I just took a practice test of the core part w/out trying hard or studying and scored a 650-ish. Do I need to be extremely worried?

:\ I guess I'll be taking the Bio test Nov. But it's kind of based on whim. Which in itself isn't a good sign.

I'm taking an AP bio class now (it's only available to seniors; no exceptions) so obviously, I haven't gone over ALL the material yet.

Trying to take this, because I have a deep feeling I'm going to "fail" Chemistry...

I'm taking Bio E in November.
I finished SL IB Biology last May, so it shouldn't be too hard after a bit of review.

bio M in november..craving a 800.

Hm..I'm taking IB HL Bio this year and we haven't covered all the material yet because the course is two years long..so hopefully studying a bunch will help me...

by the way..i didn't know there was a SL Bio...funny how IB is so different everywhere

I'm taking the test, and I haven't even study for it yet. It's been two years since I had bio, and it wasn't even AP Bio because my school doesn't offer AP courses.

Im taking it in nov.. Im also doing bio HL and a lot of the stuff that is gonna be on the test was never even covered in our bio class. Like in the animal structure and function or wtvr it's called.. there is a huge section about the nervous system and neurons that kinda seems like Chinese...Im taking notes off of spark notes tho so I think it'll b alright
what do u guys think I should focus on most while studying as I don't have much time and I got other tests as well. Do we have to know really detailed stuff or are main ideas ok for some things?
I did a practice test just for fun in the 10 real's today and I got a 700..I thought the curve was too good to b true tho, I missed like 12 questions over all.. is this usually the case in the real exam?
good luck everyone

I will also be taking the test in november.

really detailed stuff. the curve depends on the test, sometimes it's generous, sometimes it definitely isn't (the october sat ii bio and june sat ii bio were very generous because of their difficulty).

Is there a curve for ACT tests? The ACT science portion off the October test was very difficult I thought, and others agree. Even the English seemed to be a bit of a pest at times. The math and reading were totally easy overall. By the way, I am also taking the Nov. SAT Bio along with US History and Literature. I have the Princeton Review book that I have been studying from (for Bio) since school began. I have a second hour that is dedicated to SAT BIO Prep. Next marking period will be strictly physics (my school doesn't have physics anymore).
