November SAT test A Thread

Three hours for train :)

yea now that I think of it, my approach was stupid. 3 hours for train. I remeber the one with the 2 parralel lines and the triangle in the middle.

If y is 70, what is the value of x. I remeber putting 35 for x. As if you drew a line to form a triangle, it means that both interior angles had to be the same. so 180-70= 110
110/2 =55. But then it forms right angles. so 55+x=90 x=35

what was the one grid in “seven points on a circle, what is the amount of lines needed to connect every point” I think this was the one with 4.

I also think remembering of putting a 2.5 down, but not sure. (grid in)
Do you remeber any of the 20 min math section ones?

995 is correct

oh also, that one where it was f(n)= 1/radical (n-1000). What is the value of n to make the function an interger. is 1001?

what was the answer for the one with actor with swag?

um, if this is reading, I dont think this test had that

it was a sentence completion question

I put aloof…something

For actor with swag I put panache (and felt good about it).

Know I missed the circle with seven points - I put 36 as a wild guess from vague memories of probability in circles…so so wrong.

I’m sure this was really easy but what did y’all get for the one about x is 4 percent of y what percent of y is x? Blanked.

Confused, I put spending too - not too worried about that one. And I put impromptu.

For Langston Hughes I put no error…aah was that wrong?

@4leafclova: it was 4% as well

The answer was panache. The seven points on the circle was 21. I put impromptu and am fairly certain that is correct. Langston Hughes I put no error as well so do not feel too bad, but I googled the rule after and “lain” refers to reclining not being put down so the answer was D. What did you guys put for the writing question regarding the woman who argued for the cemetery to be protected. Did you put E (no error) or A like I did (argued). I guessed that it should have been “had argued” but have no idea at all as writing is my worst subject.

995 is the answer.

what’s the 55 -> 35 triangel question??

and i think panache was right.

1001 is right. took me a while :p

and 4 for the percent one.

anyone remember the proportion one?
x is directly porportional to y.
y is indirectly porportional to z.
i put 4, i think. it was a MC. (right page, last one on it in the top right corner :p)

Also, I do not know if the question was phrased like that. I believe it was more like what is y percent of x not what percent of y is x. Y percent of x is 4 just as x percent of y was 4.

how many no errors did you guys get and for which ones?

what was the one that was like 2-3 to last.
that the writer of White __ acheived a reputation or whatever that few others acheived. i wasn’t sure if the last word, acheive, should have been past (with a d) or remain in present.

21 points for the circle problem and 4 for percent problem. the question with the reporter asking the sensei’s age is impertinent since the question was irrelevant and had a negative connotation. also, i got no error for langston hughes, and 5 no errors for that section in general.

i put no error for the cemetery one.

x*y shouldve been 15

spkrap322: I believe the core of it was that The writer achieved a reputation that even seasoned writers rarely achieve. I am fairly certain that it was no error. The elephant one was also no error. I put Langston as E but now know it was D. Was the one about the woman who argued for the cemetery E or A (argued should be had argued)? I put A but have no idea. Essentially, I had 4 E’s but one of my choices was wrong so 3 E’s but then the arguing question might be E so either 3 or 4 E’s.

was the one about the group of chinese women “not enough information to complete the problem”
