Um on the 995 one shouldn’t it be 980? It said x was a multiple of of 25 and y was a multiple of 20. 25 x 20 = 500 (for x) and 20x 24 = 480 (for y) so x + y is 980 < 1000.

I have a feeling this proportional business was experimental.

I put “had lain” was wrong on the Langston Hughs one, but I’m not so sure now. According to grammar girl the past participle of lie is lain. So the book had lain down is correct. Langston had laid the book down. The book had lain down.

Danielle: It is most likely impromptu not impertinent because the reporter exhausted her repertoire. As a result, she had to make a question up on the spot. It did not have a negative connotation; in fact, it was positive because it revealed that he was the second youngest to ever accomplish receiving the rank of sensei. Also, Langston was D (had lain should have been had laid; lain refers to reclining and laid refers to something being put down; i also put E but now know that we are both incorrect). Should be a maximum of 4 E’s.

Does anyone know if the % of women speaking chinese was 18?

yea now that I think of it, my approach was stupid. 3 hours for train. I remeber the one with the 2 parralel lines and the triangle in the middle.

If y is 70, what is the value of x. I remeber putting 35 for x. As if you drew a line to form a triangle, it means that both interior angles had to be the same. so 180-70= 110
110/2 =55. But then it forms right angles. so 55+x=90 x=35

was that one experimental?

it’s 995. 25 x 39 = 975 + 20 = 995. and had lain was used properly.

women and chinese i put could not be determined…

oooooh. really?! darn it… goodbye 800. LOL

Alex you are right about the not enough information. Bungalow you are right about Langston but wrong about the math question. It is 995 (25x39 + 20x1 = 995). 25x + 20y = z. You could pick any value for x and y and needed to find the maximum value of z.

i cant believe i missed such an easy question. The answer was 1001?? I put 1000. now looking back on it the question was so easy. I guess I had a brain fart.

Don’t lose hope daniel. The writing section was exceptionally difficult. With a solid essay, you can still grab an 800.

ugh im pretty sure i got this one wrong.
the last question in the test
was the answer, “in which” for the study abroad?

ohh an I put had lain was wrong and it could not be determined for the women, Chinese question.

Don’t worry fullmetal it happens to everyone. But 1000? That would yield 1 / sqrt(1000-1000) = 1 / 0…infinity lol

Yeah i put “in which” but i might be wrong.

@TheMisunderstood

I don’t think you quite understand the difference between laid and lain. I put D, but the difference in this tense is that Laid requires an object, and Lain does not. So I laid the book down. I have lain down. But I’m pretty sure in the sentence Book was the subject. A book can’t have “laid” something down, it has to have lain down, which I believe was no Error.

The chinese women one was Not enough information.

yes it was in which…if I recall correctly

did anyone have an experimental writing i had 3,5, and 10 as writing. I did really bad on section 3 and really well on section 5 so im hoping section 3 is experimental.

how the hell are you guys getting 21 lines for that circle one. It is asking you how many lines to connect all dots into a “pair” 6 of the points can get connected with 3 lines, there is one left over dot, so add a line that is 4. Where are you getting 21?

@TheMisunderstood
Yeah I knew that when I put down the answer. Its just that time was running out and I had to put something down. I guess I forgot that the square root of 1 is 1 lol. I thought it would turn in to some decimal so I did not even consider it. I can’t believe it…so dumb…

(1/0 is like not possible/no solution. not infinity…just saying)

any remember CR questions?
