November SSAT

Good luck to anyone taking the November SSAT test tomorrow morning!
12 hours to go! :(

My S is taking it tomorrow morning for the third and final time. Regardless of the outcome, these are the scores we will roll with. We were very happy with the last report so after tomorrow, it will be time to move on.

Four interviews down, three to go...Essays and questions all completed ...One recommendation outstanding...Waiting for 3/10 will be the hardest part...

1 interview down, too many more to go. :(
First SSAT this year!
AHH

Aspirant,

have you set your interviews yet? Keep in mind holidays are just around the corner so there may be some opportunities to slip into campus and complete them without major disruption in your current school schedule. The downside of course is you may not get to see the students "in action" if they are on break.

nylecoj007,

You are right, the period after submitting everything until 3/10 is very difficult.

I remember well the hustle and bustle of setting up/attending interviews, prodding my D to get applications/essays completed, scheduling ssat tests, compiling teacher recs and everything else that goes with the whole process. It was busy but in many ways interesting and enjoyable.

All of a sudden you lose control of the situation because there is nothing left to do, except wait, and wait. I'm glad I don't have to do it again.

im taking them tomorrow 2

let the games begin

THE TEST IS TOMOROW!
I was not thinking this summer and didn't study.
I've barely studied at all, and again. ITS TOMOROW!
I swear I've learned my lesson;I'm going to start studying for the SAT's tomorow!
OH MY GOODNESS!

how do you know if the recommendation is outstanding? i thought we weren't suppose to read them.

My S is in a program that is very meticulous about every component of the application process. If something's outstanding, they will, without doubt or hesitation, inform the applicant.

geez.. I took it today morning too...
how did you guys do it?

It wasnt so bad!
Except I wrote my essay terribly.
oh poo :(

nylecoj007,
i already set my interviews up for december :]

hey! it wasn't that bad!

except the essay was...ha...soo bad my topic was rediculous.

I thought it went fairly well. I finished the writing sample with like 10 minutes left, so it probobly sucked haha.

whatsskaknbacon,

what was the topic of your essay?

My essay was TERRIBLE!! lol, i wasn't even half way done when the supervisor said that there were 5 minutes left. At least I finished. :) The rest wasn't that bad though....

well.. mine: changing is the most difficult thing for a person to do

and again i couldn't do all verbal section :(

aawww. its okay. just take it again

my topic was: several excuses are less convicing than one.

try to come up with a good example for that! I sort of just made one up out of something that was sortof like that but not really (:

it wasn't that bad, i was surprised to find that it was easier than the practice tests i took....thank god!
