Now that I've already applied...

Hey guys, I was just wondering what my chances are at Northwestern under ED. Like any other cc kid, I'm freakin out cuz dec 15 is right around the corner! Any input would be nice, here goes...

College Credit:
Due to the district's financial hardships, i am taking Foreign language classes at the nearest community college.
-Spanish 101
-Spanish 102

Thanks guys, ANY insight would be greatly appreciated

SATs are a little low, ECs are just average, im not sure how the summer program helps. class rank and gpa is very good however

I would say you have about a 10-15% chance

If your standardized test scores were higher, you would have a much better chance. Did you study for them? If you are deferred, can you study, retake, and submit improved scores? Everyone these days studies for the tests, and/or takes cram courses, so you can't get away without doing that.

Yeah those scores are hurting you...

Northwestern doesnt defer. They either accept or reject early.

i think that it is going to come down to your essays, recs, and interview (?). the great GPA and rank balance the lackluster scores (which aren't deplorable, just sub par for northwestern). Hence, the other parts of the application will swing the decision.

if the other components are excellent, I'd say you have about a 50% shot at admission.
