This might be a tad too early,
but I think we should start predicting the decisions that we would receive on Mar.10th.

After all this madness and tumult with the application process, I would like to know where everybody stands with their own application.

In March, we can compare our own predictions and actual decisions and may it be a lesson to next year's applicants.

Other than that, I just want to see a list of applicants and the respective schools they are applying to, just to examine how much CC members contribute to the applicant pool. That way, I may see how much do these top students take up the pool, therefore, predicting my level within that pool.

If anyone think predicting at this point and revealing it to the public is a bit too sensitive for the moment, please tell me!

I’m only making predictions about two of my results. I don’t think that I’m going to get into Andover. Even though I love Andover, it’s ridiculously hard to get in, and I’m not getting the feeling that I’m going to get in. I also predict that I’ll be waitlisted or accepted at Deerfield. They need more people for their choir, (that’s me) and the essay I wrote for them is incredible. Aside from those two schools, I’m not predicting my results.

I feel pretty good about getting at least waitlisted to Hotchkiss, if not accepted. I had a very good interview and I think I did a good job with my essay. I don’t know about the other schools though

I think I have a good shot at all my schools - I didn’t apply to HADES. Peddie is hard enough anyway! I think what will float or sink me is financial aid…I need almost a full scholarship and obviously in these rough times (or anytime) it’s hard for a school to just give someone 170,000 - 200,000 worth of money over 4 years.

Whoa whoa whoa… I just realized something…!!! Groton required a graded essay, right? What about Hotchkiss, Deerfield, or SPS? Did they require a graded essay? I just sent my applications in yesterday, and I just realized that I didn’t send in a graded essay for Hotchkiss, Deerfield, or SPS. I’m in trouble…

SPS used to require the essay, but not this year. Now it is optional, so if you think you have a really strong essay, send it to SPS as well. Like Neato said, these schools will be sorting through mail for at least a week, so you won’t be penalized if you get it in Tuesday (no mail on Monday). Another option is to scan the essay and email it to them.

I think that choate and hotchkiss are long shots for me do idk probs waitlisted or rejected… Kent is a safety- (but i made 1 mistake in their essay after i sent it in will this hurt me a lot) and lastly I feel that Loomis and Taft are pretty well fit and I had an amazing interview at both so I will either be accepted or waitlisted but dont want jinx it :/

I decided not to complete my Lawrenceville application even though it is the one closest to home. While it is an excellent school, I don’t think it’s a good fit for me personally. It might be for others though.

i think i’ll probably get into peddie but i dont think i’ll get into lawrenceville which is my top choice WAHHWAHHWAHHH
my parents dont like peddie either :(

I’m applying to most if the gladchemms crowd and they seem to be pretty much a crapshoot for everyone with the way they have to build the class and stuff, so I don’t have my hopes up
