I found this today: Assessment of Research-Doctorate Programs

"Revised August 23, 2010

The National Research Council is pleased to announce that the Data-Based Assessment of Research-Doctorate Programs will be publicly released on September 28"

Finally!

Now, I wonder if Prof. Newton at TAMU will compile an aggregation of scores as he did in 1997 following the 1995 report. http://www.stat.tamu.edu/~jnewton/nrc_rankings/nrc1.html Not that we ourselves could not do it, but it would take (guessing) over 100 hours to enter the raw scores into an excel spreadsheet.

The participating schools are supposed to get an advanced copy before general release (now September 28th). I expect schools to have press releases ready when the info goes public.

BTW, we’ll supposedly see ranges for the ranking…not an absolute ranking.

^ If history is any guide, we know that the UC-Berkeley web site will cover it extensively. :p

45% – why? Berkeley never does well in these rankings.

^ (Shhhhhhhhh! UCBChemEGrad thinks that it does . ;))

Yeah, sure. I’ll believe it when I see it ;)

All good things come to those who wait…;)

If not, UCBChemEGrad will take care of the coverage. ;)

^ Nah, it’ll just be whisked off to the “CC thread deathbed” aka the Graduate School forum. Haha! :)

Even if Cal and Michigan score well, xiggi and Hawkette will be the killjoys for each school, respectively. :D

EDIT: It will be out on the 28th…
