NROTC Scholarship

Hi,
Im currently a Junior and will be attending college the fall of 2010.
My main plans now are to get an NROTC Scholarship and hopefully get accepted and attend SUNY Maritime as well.

My main question is when should I apply?
I know I saw you could start app for NROTC junior year, but when should I submit and about how long does it usually take to hear back?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks
Kevin

Im a senior in HS, and applied for this year, in december. I still havent heard. However, it seems that they have admissions boards way before the deadline, and if you dont get the scholarship through that board, your application continues to the next board. So, apply as soon as you can.

I am a senior in HS, and I started my application in mid-August, was contacted by a nrotc recruiter, finished it in the beginning of september, and found out I got the scholarship in the beginning of November. I would start the application process as soon as you can. Check the website and it should give you dates. There are boards every month I believe so the earlier you apply, the more boards your application will get through if necessary.

Thanks for the info, as soon as this Easter holiday stuff dies off Im going to start applying. Were you accepted into SUNY Maritime NROTC?

I didn’t apply there. I am going to Villanova next year and doing nrotc there.

Its now the summer before my senior year and I just got an email from my recruiter telling me to apply now. I was wondering if there was anything I could do or that they are looking for that would increase my chances of getting the scholarship?
