Is anyone else???
Any idea how much of a bump NSLI is during the admissions process?
I did Nsliy Morocco Arabic summer this year and it was the greatest experience of my life. (First time out of the country). It’s very selective, very well known, and Georgetown would definitely know about it, so it can only help. But just listing it as an EC probably won’t don’t much for you. If you wrote an essay on it probs would a bit more.
I applied EA and decisions come out soon, so I guess we’ll find out how effective it is. Keep in mind though, that while Nsliy is probably as selective as GU (both have acceptance rates hovering around 15%) that most Nsliy kids will probably apply to GU, so it might not be as rare there as you think.
@NikkuWadde sweet, let me know how Gtown goes
Hey @college61728. I was accepted EA to SFS! But out of like 10 of my Nsliy friends who applied me, and one other person was admitted. So don’t think
Nsliy will carry you in, even though it’s a great program!
I am also a NSLI-Y Arabic kid and was also accepted to SFS!
My daughter was a NSLI-Y Turkish student and was just accepted to the college!
That’s awesome, congratulations to everyone accepted! I fell in love with Gtown as a freshman, but I’ll be going to another school next fall that I’ve also come to love. So even if not accepted, I’m sure you’ll do great.
