NSLI-Y Program.

Thank you so much jdhjdh!! You did correctly guess my exchanges connect identity. Good luck to you and everyone else as you await your emails!

Congratulations!!! I know you’ll have a great time.

Congats to you soar! I believe my hopes extend to you as well +_+

I hate to be repetitive but has Arabic had any updates? :/

Thanks chewy and sore! Hjackson - Arabic hasn’t had any updates. I’m sure they’ll email tomorrow.

More people alsp heard back from China… So they are still releasing Chinese and Korean I’m pretty sure

We’re always sure they’ll email tomorrow. Not to be bitter or anything. =]

I am just curious if those of you who have been accepted already have your passport. I registered for one today and now have to wait… GL to those of you who have yet to be accepted

what does it mean if i have not gotten an acceptance email, denial email, or alternate email for China and all should have been sent out by the end of the business day today?
AHHH this is killing me.

@Hairy I have a passport already…unused up until now!

@cclemon It seems that they’re still sending out emails, so I guess it means that you’ll still have to wait. :(

EC is reporting acceptances for Tajikistan summer and Korea semester. Emails are coming out earlier today than previous days, so keep your fingers crossed for more to come yet tonight.

I already have my passport.

And yeah, there’s still time…I didn’t get my email until almost 6EST when I was accepted.

So have all the China summer acceptances been sent out?

I hope not, because I’m freaking out. I’m getting pretty scared that I’ll be getting a rejection notice. Most of my family and friends are putting trust that I’ll make it into the China summer program. I have two classmates over on my online Chinese class who have already been notified acceptance last week. I’ll be more than disappointed if I don’t happen to get to go, because it’s been a dream of mine for years now. There’s no way it should end just like that for me. Congratulations though to everyone else who’ve made it so far as finalists!

…Please don’t rub in the "I-told-you-so"s after you read this message of mine

I got accepted for the Fall Semester of Korean. If my school lets me go, I will be gone from June 28, 2010 to Mid-December. Strange thing was, I clearly stated that I’d prefer to go for the summer…but hey, I’ll go with the flow. Thanks Sasoue for your encouragement! By the way, does your name have anything to do with a Japanese manga character of some sort?

Just to confirm, yet again, no one has heard about the Arabic program yet?
I almost wish I would just get rejected already – at least then I’d know!
(but not really)

Wauw, Korean Fall Semester? I wonder if this means they’ve finished with the summer program for Korea. I hope not. : (

I hope your school lets you go, Chewydog- and congradulations~

Congrats Chewy!

Congrats, Chewy! I hope you can arrange things with your school so that you can go. Maybe you could take some classes online this summer and next to make up for missing a semester. You’ll be in S. Korea for Chusok [A Multicultural Thanksgiving: August Moon Festival](<a href=“404 (Page Not Found) Error - Ever feel like you're in the wrong place?”>404 (Page Not Found) Error - Ever feel like you're in the wrong place?), harvest festival. I think that would be a great experience. Of course you’ll learn more Korean and get more out of the experience by going for a longer period. I imagine that there were far fewer people willing to go for a semester than for the summer and probably fewer for semester than year so, in order to give as many great candidates the opportunity to go, they gave you the semester spot and someone else the summer spot, even though your first choice was summer.

Congrats Chewydog!!!

Werekitten - it appears that Arabic finalists have not been notified still, we are anxiously awaiting as well.
