<p>Just got my interview date and location here in Texas! I applied for Turkish, Arabic, and Korean, all summer.</p>
<p>I too got accepted as a semi-finalist here in Oklahoma. I’m so excited! I applied for Arabic, Russian, and any language.

<p>@america2011- I think each language program varies slightly when they send you and for how long (6-8 weeks for Summer programs). I believe they pick the time-frame and you have to be available for those dates. I thought they were mostly in June, but not sure.</p>
<p>America - NSLI-Y is very strict about leaving the USA and returning to the USA with your group and chaperon. You also must attend pre-departure orientation</p>
<p>Reno - This scholarship is sponsored by the Department of State, they would not send you into a situation that they deemed as unsafe. If for some reason the climate changes during the course of the program, the students will be evacuated, and evacuated quickly.</p>

<p>there is no ‘set’ time period, in the e-mail it says if you haven’t been contacted by jan 11 so you have until then</p>
