Any predictions on Arabic notification dates?
@pldmua2003 Arabic Summer notifications are generally sent out on a Thursday or Friday in the middle of March. Last year, they were released on the 14th of March. I would start to expect an email on the 15th this year. The absolute best of luck to you!
@“m19anna.blue///” , generally Persian Summer is released in mid to late March. If I am not incorrect, it was not released until after Arabic Summer last year. I wouldn’t expect a notification for another couple of weeks, but you shall definitely know before the month is out!
@Sonomom, Arabic is generally send on a Thursday or Friday in mid March. Both those who are made an alternate or immediately accepted will be notified on the same date. Otherwise, definitive rejection emails for summer are generally sent out on the first day of April. Best of luck and happy waiting!

wow, congrats to everyone for making it into the semifinalist stage and a big hoorah to those who are finalists! I believe I am going to get rejected because I shot myself in the foot during the interview, and it hurts because Korean notifications come out at the very end;( Good luck to everyone who is still waiting and don’t give up yet!
My daughter is a 9th grader who just got accepted to the Hindi Summer. My son is a freshman in college who attended the China Summer after his 9th grade year. It definitely contributed to him getting into Columbia and he just got accepted into CLScholarship(college version of NSLI-Y). Good luck to all- and try again if you don’t get it this year- it’s an amazing educational experience.
Does anyone know if Persian notifications came out yesterday? And if someone is rejected, how much longer does it take for NSLI-y to notify them?

Does anyone have a tentative timeline for finalist emails? I heard that Hindi and Tajiki are the first to go out, but I’m not sure about the validity of that claim. I applied for the Arabic Summer program and I was wondering when I could expect any information.

1.) Russian Summer (February 29th, 2016)
2.) Hindi Summer (February 29th, 2016)
3.) Korean Summer (March 1, 2016)
4.) Tajik Summer (March 11, 2016)
5.) Arabic Summer (March 16, 2016)
6.) Chinese Summer (March 28, 2016)
Hindi came out yesterday. But it is on a rolling basis. The finalists have 7 days to reply. If any of them decline the offer, it goes to the next candidates on the list.
The countries that require a visa in addition to a passport go out first- India, China, etc.
Actually the order recently has been: Hindi, Russian (Early March), Tajiki (Also early March), Arabic (usually March 10-20), Chinese (usually March 23-28), Indonesian (March 25-31), and Korean (March 28-31). I don’t know you got that order from, because it hasn’t been that way for over 5 years

Will she be okay in Kirov? She is strict vegetarian (no fish, no meat)
