<p>I got a booklet from NU and all it included for nursing school and computer programming stuff info; nothing about the med school was really emphasized that much. So I just want to know whether they even have a legit and really good pre-med program. IF anyone in NU CC is a premed, please tell me your experience about the caliber and labor of the whole program. Thanks! :)</p>

<p>I know it’s funny to us students who go to Northwestern (or will be attending ;D). But I can’t tell you how many times this summer I’ve told people where I’m going and they either say, “Oh, you’ll love Boston!” or “(BIG pause)…Oh…(pretending to be impressed)” And they have no idea that Northwestern is one of the most elite institutions in the U.S.</p>

<p>I know exactly how you feel. Everyone I talk to is convinced WashU is either in DC or Washington state. I have to explain to them that the school is located in Missouri, to which I always get the same reply: “Then why’d they name it Washington Univ? That makes no sense at all.”</p>

<p>I realize the OP is a ■■■■■ (Sam Lee, you knew that was the reaction he was going for and I’m surprised you fell for it) but I agree that pre-med is better at Northeastern in the sense that you will get a higher GPA there. Only the very top students will excel at Northwestern’s pre-med so if you’re not up for it, definitely go to Northeastern.</p>
<p>You take a placement test, assuming you wan’t to continue your Japanese studies at NU. You might want to brush up a LOT if you don’t remember 習う, though.</p>
<p>yeah… that wasn’t in our curriculum. well it was in hiragana but not in kanji. i just looked it up and… well that was slightly embarissing. do they kanjify everything on the tests?</p>
<p>my kanji’s not very strong because i know traditional mandarin so my kanji meter goes all over the board and i get confused.</p>
<p>It depends on the level. I’m at advanced-intermediate, so quite a bit of Kanji. In real texts thats how it is.</p>
<p>yeah most texts have a lot of kanji. but i only have one year of experience (three quarters). its not even close to intermediate is it?we used the genki elementary japanese textbooks.</p>
