I'm a university of california bound senior and I want to be a nurse, do I major in biology or nursing?

If you’re 100% set on nursing, go straight to nursing. It simply gives you more time to prepare before you find yourself qualified. But you need to fill out the school’s special nursing school application supplement alongside their regular admissions paperwork.

If you’re at all military minded, there’s hefty scholarships for nursing students in return for so many years service as a nursing officer.

However, if you’re in doubt or you don’t get into nursing straight off and won’t wait a year to reapply for your BS, you could go the biology major route and go for the 2 year MSN grad school route.

Are you saying I can get my undergrad’s in Biology, then go to graduate for two years and come out as a nurse? Won’t I need nursing experience to get into grad school in the first place?

Mind the double post because I can’t edit, but I’m willing to do some work as a CNA during college, will that help in any way?
