nurses who do medical research?

<p>Do any nurses do medical research (anything, ranging from bench research, clinical or epidemiological, etc)?</p>

<p>I have seen some people with RN, PhDs.</p>

<p>They may be doctorates of nursing, but what kind of research do they do in that case?</p>
