If you applied to nursing, would you be willing to post your stats and if you applied ED/EA/RD and if you were accepted, rejected, or waitlisted? Also curious as to your geographic region?
We just got home yesterday from a tour and DD is sold. A little worried due to how competitive the program is as well as our ability to pay for it since DS also attends.
DD applied RD in October-Pitt is rolling admissions. She was asked for midyear grades and new SAT score, 3.8 unweighted and 1360. She was waitlisted,we live in PA. It is a great program but, competitive. Turns out it wasn’t meant to be and DD will happily attend another school and not wait for possible opening. Good luck to your D!
Hi! Daughter applied EA to Nursing. Was deferred. Accepted during RD round. We are from Southern California.
Stats: 1370 SAT, 4.3 in IB classes, IB candidate, lots of volunteer work, 3 sports, leader of club that does Mission work in an orphanage in Mexico, camp counselor at camp for diabetic children, etc.
My point is that while the Nursing Program is competitive, I don’t feel it is just scores and grades. I believe them when they say they look at the applications holistically, because SAT wise, my daughter is at only the 25th percentile school wide of accepted students. So if you think it is the school for you, don’t get hung up on only test scores. If they are a little on the low end of the school, look at your overall application. Best of luck to you! Beautiful campus. We visited a week and a half ago and she 100% commited!!
