<p>I really want to major in nursing. So in my freshman year of college, I want to declare nursing as my major. I was just wondering if it is allowed to declare your major in your freshman year of college. If not, are there prerequisites to be met before majoring in nursing?</p>

<p>Some schools, like USF require freshmen students to declare majors early like in nursing in order to set up your classes correctly and graduate on time. Also you should decalre early in the event that nursing programs become filled to capacity.</p>
