I'm currently a high school senior and I'm applying to colleges right now. I don't know what to declare as my major though. There are 3 careers I'm interested in: nursing, counseling, and occupational therapy. Should I just pick one of these and change if I don't like it or should I declare myself undecided? Thanks!

Do you have to declare nursing as an incoming freshman to get a better shot at getting into the nursing program? If so, declare that as your major. If you want out, no problem. Just change your major.

If you don’t have to declare nursing to have a realistic shot of getting into the nursing school, just go in undecided.

For nursing specifically, schools may admit to the major or to a pre-nursing program where students are advised on which courses to take. Nursing majors often have many requirements and long prerequisite sequences, so starting on the course work in the first semester may be necessary to ensure on-time graduation.

Check the nursing major frosh admission policies for each school.
