This question is ignorant, but why does Penn actually have a nursing program?
When I think of nursing, I think of community colleges and third-tier schools, but not necessarily of the ivy league. I think of a badly paid profession with many long hours and of hardworking dedicated people who will always be in the doctors’ shadows.

yes, penn has a nursing program and nurses make lots of money, especially penn grads of the nursing school

because of the nursing shortage ne1 with a nursing degree gets a lot of job offers. if u got to penn and get into the nursing school you are required to take a class called "how to deal with all my job offers" and your average starting salary is around 60k

Nursing is actually a well-paid profession...nurses average 60-75k dollars. Admittedly, that may not seem like much to people on this website, but when you look at national averages or even college-graduate average, nurses make a lot of money.

I’m a guy from Kansas and I want to be a nurse at Penn. Penn is simply the best in tech. including their teaching labs and access to one of the countries top three hospitals for teaching. I am not going to explain my whole passion but I can tell you nursing is a respected field of work. Maybe you are thinking of a nurse tech or someone on ER. But if you have ever had surgery and been in ICU you would know exactly where I’m coming from.

withonevoice: I think I was fairly straightforward. If I one day meet someone and they say "Jonathan Coveney? like on CC? I'm b@r!um" I will die on the inside. Hopefully I'll be drunk though so I won't care.
