anyone have any good ideas for a nutrition themed center spread or double truck for a high school newspaper?

I think an interesting issue in nutrition, although it is really ethics, is how the government endorses diet information which they know to be incorrect because they think it will save more lives.

Their recommended levels for fat, for example, decrease your chance of heart disease by around 30 percent (assuming you are at the average level before decrease). If you would follow the diet of countries whose inhabitants eat around 10-14% fat, you would see your chances of heart diseases decrease by about 90 percent or more.

Of course the logic is, isnt say 50 million people to decrease by 30 percent better than 3 million to decrease by 90 percent?

I personally don't think it would happen like that, but it would make a good article.
