Nutritional Sciences

How difficult is it to get into Nutritional Science Program. I see that there are two colleges listed. CALS and College of Human Ecology. Are they the same program?

Which college is easier to get in? Where would I find more info beyond whats on their website?

Any information would be helpful - stats, course work, EC, fit, etc.

bump. Anyone? Help!

Human ecology accepts over 30% of its applicants, while CALS accepts about 20%. So your probably better off applying to human ecology. However, since u could major in both i would apply to human ecology as a primary choice and CALS as an alternate.

I’m a junior at CALS. Matt789 makes a good argument if you look at just the percentages.

However I think it really doesn’t matter because the NS majors from both colleges are pretty much one department. You just have different requirements for graduation. Your essay will be read by the same group of people. My essay was read by a professor in my field. So will yours be read by someone in the NS department.

I believe if you get rejected from one then you will most likely be rejected the second time if you apply to same major but different colleges.

However by applying to both schools for NS you show that you have a real interest in that field. That’s a big plus.

Hmm… IDK. sorry.
