I'm currently attending Northern Virginia Community College and I hope to transfer to UVA after two years.
I read over the requirements and saw that UVA does look at SAT scores for transfer students.
Am I allowed to retake the SATs after my two years at NVCC to aim for a higher score or will my SAT score from highschool be considered?

If you are using the articulation agreement in which you take the classes UVa requires while earning your associates degree, and earn the GPA UVa stipulates, you are an auto admit. Your hs record and scores only come into play when you don’t satisfy all parts of the articulation agreement and you have to apply as a transfer student, in which case yes, you can certainly take the SATs over if you wish. I’d suggest meeting with a GC at NVCC, preferably one that deals with transfers, to help you understand what you need to do and which group you fall into.
