NY, PA, NJ residents meet up after all this craziness?

Well, as it is PSU is my number two school, but only by a small smidgen, and I'm beginning to lean to Penn state more and more each day, so I figured we could set up a thread to tentatively schedule a meeting of us CC heads in the not so distant future (i.e. 4 months or so). I figure once everyone is ready to know where they are going if people would like to meet up in the city (New york that is) and kind of just chill and see what are future classmates are going to be like if we decide to go (which we should know by Aprilish). Wanted to start this thread early because its not easy organizing such a large scale thing at the last minute, so I wanted to see how everyone felt about this. I'm in jersey but getting to NYC is nothing to me. So I guess we'll just see how this thread goes and see when we get there.

Damn 2008 is going to be such a sweet year.

LOL that would be interesting to say the least.

what's your first choice?

I am definitely down for this idea, just have to get into PSU-UP first. Pray for me.

I am in at Penn State Main, Aerospace Engineering, but USAFA is top choice, also accepted to Purude with a scholarship and waitin on Texas A&M...

SW PA, you all are from where?

Long Island, New York.

I live in Florida and would be down with meeting up =p, I think I'll have to wait until class time though (if I get in).

Nice, I'm in jersey right across the bridge so I'm down to meet wherever.

Edit: Oh and USC is my first choice.

I'm already a student at PSU-UP majoring in ME. Can I come too?

Of course, in fact I would encourage it seeing as how we could learn alot about our school from you :).

We need to start looking at dates. The good thing is that it can be after May 1st, since this meeting will most likely be based on the presumption that we all will be attending there. So maybe we should start looking at times of acceptances for other schools and whens a good time for everyone.

For me, I wont be around april 18-21, and Memorial day weekend (may 23-26 or whatever). We could maybe do something around spring break (23 or something for us). What I need is for everyone to maybe get their break charts out or something so we can find a date that overlaps with most people's days off. I'll get mine as soon as I get home (in virginia, will be home later), but I'm thinking either late april (we should all have a decision then) or early may. If it works out hell, we may find our future roomies and all lol.

oooo if i get in, ill go! i live near philly in good ol' PA, where our beloved school is located<333333

How afar are you from the school courtney?

Edit: I'm thinking we can meet up and do something like go to the MET, since we can chill in the cafe and stuff there and theres so much to do. That way if all of you are boring I won't have to be the life of the party :p.

airforce good luck! my boyfriends at USMA

wait where do you live in NJ?

Yeah my spring break is around the last week in April always so yeah.

lol this sounds like it could be fun

I live in Northern NJ, around Hackensack/Teaneck area. And yea it seems like aprilish-may is going to be the best time.

OMG i live near there too. How cool is that. =P

im "in" philly; PSU hasn't gotten my ACT scores yet, though :( hopefully, they'll still accept me...

i live about 3 hours from penn state main campus. depends on traffic though...game day, about 4 1/2 hours haha

Yea I;m about 3 1/2 hours away or so from the main campus, and it seems like more people would be closer to NYC, but maybe we could meet up at UP as well, what do you all think?

UP would be a great place to meet ! we have to go up there sometime in the springish for different things; ie to register for classes, orientation, and the like. we could all do dinner or something and go out!

I'm definitely not an east coast resident but I have been admitted to psu and wouldn't mind meeting people. I should actually be staying east during the summer ;-)
