@SAY I think it’s pretty obvious that I’m using the term first world as short hand for people that do well in the modern competitive world that Brooks was talking about. I chose that term to avoid a description that might sound offensive. If you have a better term I’m open to giving it a try.

How about “countries that do well in the modern competitive world”?
