So my interview is at the Harvard Club of NY, and I received an e-mail from my interviewer and it kept saying "WE" will meet you and "WE" look forward to seeing you. Does that mean that I will be interviewed by more than one person?

In some areas, more than one interviewer meets with each applicant to interview them. This may be the case in NYC. The procedure for how interviews are done is up to the alumni in each region.

Yes, in NY you are interviewed by two alumni.

thank you both!! It’s nice knowing it will be two, otherwise I think it’d be a bit overwhelming, especially since the alum from whom I received a confirming e-mail is SUPER intimidating in terms of his achievements.

psh, they may be Harvard alumni, but they’re all human…well… most of them, right?
good luck :)

In some cases - not always and not usually. It’s probably random though. Out of the ten or so people that applied to Harvard in my NYC high school, one had a double interview.

Good luck on your interview.

wow! that’s intense!!

The point is not to be super intimidating, or to grill applicants in a rapid fire style. Rather, there are a ton of Harvard alums in NYC who want to interview, and doing 2:1 interviews let more alums get involved. I think it’s also better for applicants - as you have more chances to “click” with your interviewer.
