<p>i tried, but failed. i was casually watching the soup one day and the new host was talking about secret life and was like, “in high school, funeral is the new prom.” followed by a clip of people asking each other “are you going to the funeral? are you going to the funeral?”</p>
<p>and then that pregnant girl “everybody’s going to funeral, but me. i’m missing out on EVERYTHING!”</p>

<p>Lol, I love how all these characters have such large ambitions, and think doing a show like this will help them. Just amazing.</p>
<p>^Wow, seems like Camille needed her daddy’s assistant/attorneys/show producers to write a statement to cover up the fact that she has her hear set on Harvard. Believe me, I have no issue with people applying to Harvard, as I may plan to apply to Harvard, but she appears to want it for the wrong reasons. She seems to be a vulture for prestige, and seems ruthless to get what she wants. I hope that she is way different in real life, just because I think that not many people, regardless of class/money/background, would want to be friends with her. All she does is mentin Harvard, but no particular aspects of why she loves it so much. I talk about why I love Brown so much, but I can truthfully reply why I like it so much (love of Providence, classes offered for specific major, etc.). </p>
<p>I think that the show is scripted, and filled with strange pauses to make it seem ‘real.’ I find the show hilarious because of how outlandishly decadent these people live. It really makes me laugh at what they say, but I’m not addicted to it. I just watched it to see some nice stuff haha, who doesn’t like seeing rich people’s great lifestyles :)</p>
<p>My take on characters:</p>
<p>PC: He seems juvenile for believing that he’s way more mature than everybody. A bit of a jerk, and what’s wrong with hot girls from Texas? Ever hear of the Cowboys cheerleades? Perfect match, both spoiled and superficial lol. </p>
<p>Taylor: I don’t get her, and I’m easily irritated by the 2 guy drama of w/e</p>
<p>Kelli: The dog (or w/e was going on) seemed a tad extreme, as the fact that she thinks she will hit it big in the music biz.</p>
<p>Sebastien (this is the kid who always fixes his hair, right?): He says ‘like’ every 5 seconds and seems very dumb…speaking French won’t get you laid w/ every chick!

<p>Jessi: Feel bad about her cross-eye/near lisp thing, but she appears to be the only one who actually cares about her future. She likes fashion idk, but she does seem to care about it very much…not just for $$$ </p>
<p>Camille: Doing service just for Harvard is shallow…do something meaningful lol! Never saw stuff about SAT, she must either be smart for real or have a good tutor. She can easily afford one :P! Be funny to see her get in to only like Princeton & Yale (harvard reject), then cry for like a month! Remeber that University of dreams thread, she seems perfect for it! :D</p>
<p>BTW, I don’t watch this show that much, just when I need a good laugh! That’s my offcial analysis on a show I don’t really care for…I give it like 3 weeks until it’s pulled. Anybody know if it will keep getting new seasons? Also, to real NYC people, are they really like this? Are there “bad” private schools in NYC? In NC, those would be phenomenal!</p>
