<p>D is very interested in NYC and NYC area schools. Do Fairfield students connect with NYC on a regular basis? Is it common to spend time in NYC or does the campus become the focal point of undergraduate life at Fairfield?</p>
<p>Fairfield is about a 90 minute train ride on the MetroNorth from NYC , it isn’t considered a NYC area school. My friends from Fairfield rarely take the train to NYC.</p>
<p>I live in NYC and I applied to Fairfield. It’s about an hour drive which isn’t bad at all but like LizzyB said, I wouldn’t consider it a NYC area school. Schools like Fordham University and Manhattan College would be considered NYC area schools so she may want to check those out.</p>
