NYS June 2016 Global History Regents thread

Lol you did better than I did I Bs’d most of the thematic

Atlantic ocean --> is was large and hard to travel across --> the caravel was created for easy sailing and allowed people to steer boats making trips faster —> then I added somethings about the Age of Exploration (Magellan etc.)

Andes Mountains–> I wrote about how it was an obstacle during the LAtin American Revolutions —> they build roads making travel and trade more efficient etc…

I had like no outside information for the DBQ how bad is that because for AP world we didn’t really need any outside information

and @alexhuang76 I remember and for that one I put that Russia was having a difficult time changing it government & also I feel like I really did well on the DBQ because Palestine and british India were my two favorite topics haha

For my thematic:

Japan’s location & Nile River… believe it or not, I didn’t know what dams are
is imperialism and terrace farming considered technological innovations?

Honestly the only other reason I did well was because I do Model UN and we debate a lot on the DBQ topics (Arab Israeli conflict and Pakistan v. India)

@hipsterical to be honest, I don’t remember what I put.
How about the multiple choice, which innovation came first?

I’m not sure about imperialism, but terrace farming is

is it right if I said Greece, and talked about the mountainous terrain- non fertile soil, so they had to rely on ships to trade for other food sources?

because japan did benefit from imperialism, it enhanced their way of life and civilization so I think it should count

does anybody remember any specific multiple choice questions?

which came first: gunpowder wooden plow and other things wasn’t sure

@alexhuang76 I put the wooden plow, cause idk my logic was that farming came before sailing

@Albert G. Which innovation came first?
Gunpowder, Steam Engine, Wheel Plow, or Caravel

@doglover26 Yeah! that’s pretty good :slight_smile: I wish I knew that yesterday

I said wooden plow that seemed the most basic

if u get like 7 multiple choice wrong and do average on the essay what score are you looking at do u think

I actually didn’t know the answer to that question, I had to guess and I think I put wooden plow too. I don’t quite remember.

Yeah, What about the one that " What was an effect of the Expansion of Islam ?"

what were the choices

How about the question regarding the Cambodia Election thing
