NYS regents procedure

physics was hard- and i do not want to get below a 90 on a science- i want to go to pre-med- oooooo physics y do u hate me so

same man...but its a very real possibility...i dont think it will matter too much at this stage in the game just kick ass wherever u go to undergrad

i dont think they will worry bout wut u got on ur physics regents junior year on ur med school apps

dude if u thought that **** was hard then u dont belong in med school i mean all u had to do was basically read formulas off a sheet that was given to u

its my FINAL- its a good part of my average - my school is soo dumb

its 20% of my average ur not alone

the physics regents this year was easy. i took it this year and back in 2003. this one was so simple compared to 2003 when the scores were screwed up

don't worry about it you probably did fine. you'll probably find out in a week or two how you did and you can just retake it if you failed

I'm pretty sure none of us FAILED. But I'm positive I didn't do better than a C+ or B. I had a horrible teacher and just basically didn't learn much of what was on that test.

hope ur right man lol

if you look at the conversion chart, to fail (<55) you have to get far less than half right.

Keep in mind that even if one was to fail the Physics Regents that they would still grauate as long as they passed the other Regents requirements (I think you need one science). My school doesn't give the Physics Regents, but my teacher who tought at a different New York school was saying the problem his students had with it was the way the test requires you to show all units in your calculations on the free response section. For example on a two point F = MA problem (probably easier than most the questions) you'd be required to write 50N = (5kg) (A) ----> 50 N / 5 KG = A ------> 10 M/S(^2) = A. If one shows all the work without the units, and even puts units on the answer, they would only recieve half credit for a correct response.

I didn't think it was that bad, and I'm not much of a science person, but I had a really good teacher. I felt like most of it was just testing how well you can use the reference tables. I just hope I got >90...

I just got a phone call from my teacher...

Looks like i got a 100 in biology, chemistry and physics

hooray for me.

why are u taking 3 sciences in one year ... wow people on this site are so wierd sometimes ... theres more to life than studying 24/7 and getting perfect test scores and doing everything possible so u can get into that "name brand" college

what are you talking about? i took bio, chem and physics in grades 9, 10, and 11 respectively...i guess my post was a little unclear

Failing regents for my school is a 65...you get no credit for the regents if you get below a 65.

Conversions: http://emsc32.nysed.gov/osa/concht/june05.html

The thing is that the Physics Regents is scored harder than the others because the state figures most people taking Physics have already fufilled their science Regents requirement, so they don't need an extra help.

When do we get to see answers for the regents?

The tests and answers will be available online in about a month.

no much sooner
