hopefully my email from nyu comes in soon. I’ve gotten one from every other college lol
I just received an email from NYU confirming my application
Wow! You must be so relieved!
Yeah I am I had an awful feeling something didn’t send right (even though I sent it with almost a week to spare) Shows how I overthink too much haha :))
Haha kudos to you. I submitted mine the day of the deadline.
I got the email this morning
@tetrislife10 Did you get your login details? I submitted mine on the day too but still haven’t heard anything
My S got his email today. He submitted it on Dec 31st. Having said that, under “Application status”, it shows 2 lines, 1) transcript 2) test scores. Both have a greyed out check mark. Does it mean they have those items or are they missing those? Reason for confusion is, in other schools, they list recommendations, transcript, application, application fee, test scores etc. I don’t see any of those. Just transcript and test scores.
Submitted app 12/30. Still haven’t gotten an email. Has anyone else?
I submitted my app on the 23rd and I still haven’t received an email, but it shows that they downloaded it on my Common App. I emailed them and they said I would receive one soon but I still have nothing.
@csekar15 Ticked means they’ve received both
I received an email a couple hours ago and I submitted on 12/31. I also only have test scores and transcript checked off on my application. Under financial aid stuff, does anyone have the FAFSA and the CSS? I just have the CSS and I’m worried in case they didn’t get my FAFSA
@neandoit19 Yeah, I received the login details. Hopefully you get something from them soon. Did you apply early decision II? If not, that might be why I got mine earlier.
@allycat231 Mine only says CSS as well. I was also quite worried. Should I contact them?
@kuhlm44937 When you click under application status, is your application date different from the day you submitted? The application date is probably just the day they processed it, but I’m worried that it’s not the processed date. I worried that my application was registered in their systems as late. I’m overthinking too lol, but I wanted to check. Sorry to bother you. Thanks so much!
@Venice23 I watched the same video. It’s Baloney statistics. The easiest program to get into is School of Professional Studies. And Tandon is harder to get into that Gallatin/CAS, so don’t look at those statistics.

My SAT scores are super low but I have a high GPA, a strong essay, strong letters of rec (one is a teacher of mine that’s an NYU alum), and really cool extracurricular. How much weight does NYU place on SAT’s? I’ve done all the internet calculators and they say I have a pretty good chance, but this seems like a really strong class.
Good luck to everyone!
I received an application confirmation and portal info email last night (around 5:30 PST).
@tetrislife10 I submitted my app on 12/30, and the NYU portal says “submitted 12/30.”
@csekar15 Mine, too, only has transcript (from one high school, but not the other) and test scores listed, both grayed out and both with a check mark.
@allycat231, @tetris10 I, too, only see CSS listed even though I submitted the FAFSA back in October.
Has anyone called to follow up on the receipt of FAFSA question?
@tetrislife10 like YoungOne4, mine also shows the date I submitted my app on common application-no need to worry!
@ollieforpresident120 How low are your SAT scores? if they’re close to the average range then I wouldn’t worry so much about it, considering the other aspects of your application. What’s your EC? (just curious lol)
