@rahinkumar wow thats smart! Do you get a letter via post only if you are accepted? Or do rejections come via post too? I’d hate for it to turn out badly
@rahinkumar I’m just afraid they will also send my rejection and I’ll get excited for nothing. Also I hope no one from NYU is on here and sees your post so I can still use it this year
I don’t know About rejections BUT acceptance packages are shipments, a rejection letter is just an envelope. So if you do get a notification it’s most likely good news
Also, aren’t rejections pretty much confined to the electronic portal these days? I think the days of “small flat envelopes” are gone…
Dunno my friend received rejection mails from both Georgetown and this other university she got waitlisted from @YoungOne4 @rahinkumar
@BrKmNk Georgetown only mails admission decisions to domestic applicants–the vast, vast majority of colleges only mail acceptance letters/packages.
I sent my CSS profile on 15th Jan early in the morning. Albert still shows the CSS profile under the ‘Holds’ section. I’m quite worried. I mailed the financial aid office quite long ago too but no response till now.
@Faultystart my friend was international, not domestic.
@ash2201 i emailed a financial aid committee member on 12/18/2017 and he replied back to me on 01/15/2018. I know there was the new year’s etc but NYU is really slow with this email processing situation.
Got a postcard from NYU today thanking me for my app and confirming it was received. It talked about “next steps,” like setting up the portal and submitting FAFSA. Is this something everyone got? It does sound like the AC is very busy!
lmao are u instate? I dont think they would send me (int.) one @YoungOne4
California
Has anybody gotten anything from HEOP or CSTEP for ED 2?
@YoungOne4 I got one as well
@daniishere I have been waiting to hear back as well. I called last week and the office said they were having a developmental meeting and that we should probably hear back from them soon.
@panda1004 omg really! Because I called the undergrad admissions office on the 24th of this month and the girl on the phone told me heop/cstep doesn’t have a timeline when they were gonna send the emails so I found it weird. But what they told you makes more sense.
Can someone remind me what HEOP/CSTEP is?
@youngone4 HEOP/CSTEP is an opportunity program only for New York residents where if you are extremely poor and are at the chart they consider poor then you will be consider which is heop and cstep is for minorities that want to get into the science/technology field also their grades aren’t NYU standards but they aren’t extremely poor like the heop kids. They are the same program thing but like divided in two groups
Thank you
Good morning…I was just wondering if anyone’s Albert portal has been updated with any new information? Mine still shows only a few pieces of information (CSS Profile received, test scores received, transcript received).
