NYU 2022

Nvm @BrKmNk. I understand now, that’s on the portal page.

Out of curiosity, can you guys go to the Albert portal, click on NYU Housing Payments, click the continue to Bursar" link, and when that window comes up (it take awhile to load), click on the upper “deposits” button, then select Fall2018 term on the next page…does it bring you to “Fall Housing Reserv Fee” and give you the ability to put down a $1,000 deposit?

Has this already been covered? If so, I sincerely apologize.

@YoungOne4 Does the ability to do so suggest that I have been admitted??

i can do that too

@MrElonMusk I don’t know. I’m trying to get a sense of that.

@YoungOne4 i can too

I don’t think that there are two different emails but mine says something about “finalizing the review of your application” as well…but I’m assuming everyone else’s does too ?

I can see the option to put the down payment…Is this a sign? Has it happened in the past?

@YoungOne4 I can do that, but unfortunately I think it doesn’t mean much :frowning:

I tried to check if the web would allow me to make other housing deposits and it gave me the option to pay for summer housing 2018 (pre-college programs), and I didn’t even apply to those

Has anyone tried logging on to the housing portal? I accidentally starting a summer 2018 housing application and mine says that I’m an “NYU Non-Student”…

Does anyone know whether FA will affect NYU decision?

Yes it does. They are need aware (at least for international students).

Clarification for all of you RDers that are worried. I got accepted already and can clarify some things for you guys:

  1. Housing change means nothing
  2. FA change means NOTHING.
  3. There is no way to tell if you got accepted or not until decision day.
  4. Chill and just wait. You’ll be fine regardless. Fussing about little details won’t help.

Thanks, @Ris21242

Thank you @Ris21242

When you log on to the housing tab does it have different number than your N****** number given to you when they gave you access to Albert. My housing has a different last 4 numbers than my N ID number

@and2014 Yes. Always has.

Did anyone get this email? I got on March 1st.

Our admission committee is finalizing the review of your application for admission. This communication is simply to determine if you have already committed to attend another college or university through a binding Early Decision program.

Please click below if you need to withdraw your application to NYU:

YES - I do want to withdraw my application from NYU. I have committed to attend another institution under a binding agreement or I am no longer interested in NYU. I understand that by withdrawing my application I will NOT receive an admissions decision from NYU on April 1.

You do not need to respond to this email and you do not need to reiterate your interest in NYU.

Sincerely,
Shawn L. Abbott
Dean of Admissions

Does this mean I am likely to get in or it’s just routine email? I know I shouldn’t read too much but why would they sens this to people who are rejected?

Yes - I think we all got it, and figured it is a routine email. I agree that it doesn’t make sense to send it to folks who are being rejected. :frowning:
