I am also rejected by BU and a bunch of UCs already…pretty devastated right now and I REALLY hope to get into NYU…I am also rejected from Pepperdine which I thought I had a shot at. Oh well.

Hi people! I just found this thread. I also applied to NYU for all three campuses (desperate for colleges here, lol). I got accepted by CSULB, UCM, UCR, UCSC, UCD, and UCSD up until now. Rejected by UCLA and Johns Hopkins. My SAT is 1420 (700 English 720 Math), GPA is around 4.3 (but really unsure because I have foreign grades in a vastly different grading system, I don’t even know how my school converted them). I am so nervous. Do I have a shot?
@liveforbooks holy, I feel the same! Also rejected by BU and I can’t stop connecting it to my possibilities with NYU 
@Panda_juice usually if you are accepted to Shanghai that means you were rejected from the New York campus.

@myfavoritepet I can’t help but thinking your SAT is exactly the same as mine but I was rejected by UCSD UCLA UCD and only got into UCSC and UCR. Lol

@JaqueBear I’ve heard CAS is one of the harder schools to be admitted to, but your stats look good! Are your essays and EC’s related to your major? I’ve heard that helps a lot at NYU.

Does anyone know how common it is to be rejected from your first and second choice college? Does NYU usually try to give you a chance to be admitted to one of them?
I applied to NYU Tisch. I got accepted by Ithaca, LMU, Emerson, and BU, but was rejected by UCLA. I have a 34 ACT and my GPA is around a 3.7 out of 4 (I think? My school is originally out of 6.0 for some reason). I think my essays were pretty good and I have a decent amount of extra curriculars. Do you think BU is a good gauge of whether or not I’ll get into NYU?
