I’m so worried rn. I have been rejected by almost all of the schools I applied to, and right now my last straw is NYU. It’s also my most important straw, since it is my dream school. Pretty sure i’m gonna get rejected by all the ivies I applied to because i’m not the strongest candidate, but hopefully I can end on a good note on my last day of uni decisions…
@Mmrosa I wouldn’t worry so much about it–if you’re worried your son can send an email asking about it, but my final transcript (I’m a current student) was sent in in June and wasn’t marked as “received” until late August.
Can they release on Friday? I hope that they release the decisions on Thursday seeing as this Friday is Good Friday (I assume it’s a holiday in the US).

@gdavidgray no, but the Application Status page still says: “Due to required maintenance, this page is temporarily unavailable.” I’ve logged off and back on, but it still shows the same message. Anyone else have that?

It has the average SAT’s for NYU Tandon which is around 1380, and I think it said 1370 for Mechanical Engineering (which I plan on majoring on) .
NYU said decisions should be released on Friday at the latest, so if they are released Thursday… that’s only 4 days away!!! I’m so excited yet nervous. I know a lot of people don’t like to obsess over cc but for me personally it helps build anticipation and I like talking to everyone 
I’m terrified. Denied from both BU and USC, I feel like I definitely won’t get into NYU. It’s my dream school, but I feel like I’m going to get denied

Is anyone else able to pay the fall 2018 deposit? You can see if it will let you by logging into Albert, clicking NYU Housing Payments, clicking “Click here to continue to the NYU Office of the Bursar eSuite”, selecting Deposits, Selecting “Fall 2018” as the term (under the first drop down menu), and then clicking “Fall Housing Reserv Fee” under the 2nd drop down menu. Mine will let me go all the way through to payment
Ok so I’ve been reading forums about the housing glitch change but mine doesn’t say nonrenewable undergrad or freshman. It doesn’t say anything. It just says summer 2018 at the top and my information to the left. Did NYU change their housing portal? I saw a picture of the freshman change and the housing portal looked completely different. Can anyone shed some light on this?
I think this housing thing has been of contention for like the past 5 years now, and its never really proven anything except for when it changes 10-20 minutes before the deadline. don’t worry about it, it means nothing, as much as people want it to
@Faultystart Thanks. I quickly sent them a copy and explained to them that it was part of the commonapp document. What makes it strange is that all the other schools received all the documents submitted through the commonapp.

@introtoxx I’ve also seen posts in the last day or two from folks admitted ED1 or ED2 who say they didn’t even get the change in the last 10-20 minutes. Let’s not stress about the housing or FA portal. No correlation has ever been found.

Is it easier to be accepted ED II and do they limit themselves to accepting only one person per school? A guy at my school was accepted ED II and I applied RD.
@AcademiaSavvy they don’t have a limit on the number of people they accept from each school. last year 12 people from my school applied, and 4 got in
