@ma320 – According to expectations, its said to be around 150 students in total for Class of 2015. About ED-1, well the max. commitment date after acceptance is Jan. 15, so apparently they won’t be releasing any official statement about the no. of students accepted for NYUNY/NYUAD and how many applied solely to NYUAD etc. until after that date.

It’d be nice to know exactly how meager my chances are =)
Does NYU usually release the info timely? Or does it take a while?

Well, as far as I remember, last time when I applied, they released a full info for ED apps and acceptances sometime in late Feb. although expect a preliminary info in Jan as well.

Sweet; thanks for that. By the way, have you been to a CW this year? Since you’re applying again.

@ma3a20 – Nah I haven’t, well as of yet I haven’t. I applied ED-II this time, and therefore hope to be in the Feb. CW. :)

Hopefully we’ll meet :D

Inshallah let’s hope so! :D

Its 12th today, and 15th Jan. is approaching soon. By 15th Jan. we’d only be 3 weeks away from the first CW of Feb, and prolly this is the date when our invites will be sent. (15th Jan is a Saturday, and even last year, I received my invite for a CW around 30th Jan, which was 3 weeks before my CW and it was also a Saturday, so let’s see). The invites could also come out during anytime in next week as well. Good luck to all of us once again! :)

Hey guys has anyone been invited to the CW in Feb, applying as a RD ?

@Bana93 – Hello there, apparently I don’t think any RD student would be invited for the first CW of Feb, so possibly invites for RD will be either in early Feb or March.

@Bana93 — mind telling us all where you from? :)

@ mutraza I am from Egypt, and seemingly there r few students who r applying from here :D

Guys! has anybody been nominated by his school or any partner organization ? because that helps a lot in the admission process, I guess so.

@Bana93 – I honestly dunno much abt nominated students, maybe a few students on this forum are nominated ones, but were you nominated as well? And yh, where are you from Egypt, are you from Dar El-Tarbiyah School since I’m a re-applicant and I had applied last year as well, and I made it to the CW, so I had an Egyptian friend who was from there and I met him at the CW (we both didn’t make the final cut) but I hope I make it into Class of 2015 this time. :)

@murtaza --no dude , I am not from Dar El-Tarbiyah School. I am form another school
it’d nice to remember the name of the school till now. That indicates high level of friendship. I am also happy that u have and experience with an Egyptian person. So where r u form ?
and how did u apply last year? were u at grade 11 or u r now a transfer student ? hey man I am really happy to talk with ppl who r also applying for NYUAD so if you got invited to one of the CWs please, email me so that we can meet in case I am invited to the same CW. Best of luck to all of you guys. Another thing @murtaza, r u applying for any schools in the states?

@Bana93 – I’m actually from Karachi, Pakistan but I only spent my first five grades over there, I moved to Abu Dhabi and I’m here since then. I was in Grade 12 last year so I applied normally, but back then due to certain probs, I couldn’t apply anywhere else. I made it into the Feb. CW last year but I wasn’t accepted. It felt a bit bad, but I’m through with it and I thought why not apply again, chances are good so let’s see.
I’m not a “transfer” student since I’m taking a gap year and even NYUAD doesn’t allow transfers, they’d allow university students but only from freshman. I’m applying to other school in US as well like MIT and others. And sure, if I get an invite, I’ll definitely give you my email. So which school you from? And are you in Grade 11 as well? :)

@murtaza – Good luck!, no I am in grade in 12 this year I am 17 . I am from a school called Tabry el hegaz named in honor of the islamic scholar El Tabry and it’s a public school while Dar el tarbiah is a private international school . So how was the CW about ?
NYUAD states on their website that it’s a lot of work. Was it really like that? :D

Um see it’s a mix, I can’t reveal much for that it’d spoil the fun. It is work but not TOO much, and neither its TOO much play, its just a perfect mix in between. And basically on CWs, you get to know NYUAD and they get to know you.

oh great:D so whats ur name? and what tips can u “hopefully” provide me in this tensional admission procedure to NYUAD since u’ve already gone through it last year? what’s ur anticipated major?

Just received my invitation to the Candidate Weekend (Feb 3-6)! I guess I’ll get to meet some of you guys in person. I didn’t expect the invitation to come this early though…a pleasant surprise, I suppose.
