I've been searching the threads for a bit now but couldn't find much specific information on the math, science, or philosophy programs at nyu cas undergrad. Could anyone give me some more details, preferably from personal experience, about how their programs, particularly in pure mathematics, philosophy, and physics, stack up? I know its a bit broad but any info would be much appreciated. thanks

Their pure math degree will give you the skills to add up the $270,000 you will spend. Their philosophy degree will allow you to contemplate that immense sum. Their physics degree will teach you the properties that might make cash fly from your wallet to theirs.

Sorry, feeling snarky today. Why do you want NYU?

Well I’m not sure I do yet, but from what I’ve heard so far, they have good programs in math and philosophy, both areas important to me, and the student body is a bit quirky and intelligent. Also living in the heart of NYC would be fantastic, and I know some cool people who chose to go there. It seems like you might have different opinions though…
