Hello, I was accepted to NYU (stern). I was wondering if anyone else applied there early and got in? Because my packet didn't come with ANY merit scholarship OR financial aid..... and if that's the case then my bank account is in trouble.... any news or information that anyone can help me with? I called them they said they'll mail it, but i haven't received anything yet!?!? im scared

NYU is probably the least generous aid school known to man. They don't meet need, gap to an amazing extent and save the $$ for the few they want to lure away from ivies. When you apply ED, they have no need to be generous, so brace yourself.

bumpity bump bump. . anyone experience the same situation?

"NYU is probably the least generous aid school known to man."

Zing. I didnt receive a DOLLAR from them.

Not necessarily, my friend got a scholarship from there for about half of his tuition (not sure what it actually was, but he told me that he would be paying 16 gs a yr), anyway catch was that both of his brothers went there with one graduating class of 2006, and him being the validictorian with a 97.8 gpa (our school doesn't do the 4.0 scale, and our gpas are unweighted). He graduated last year from high school.

ahhh.. but im in nyu stern, im just curious if anyone else who early decision'd stern got any merit . cuz i got NULL! WTH

well...
in most cases
ur never supposed to apply ed if u need financial aide...

or at least im pretty sure ur not supposed to

Don't know specifically for NYU but don't financial aid packages for ED/EA applicants come out when RD decisions are out?

sorry for bumping such an old thread…but I just want to know the answer B407 asked.
