I applied to NYU Gallatin and NYUAD. I really wish to know how the admission system works for NYU- do you get into either one or both? Some people say if your primary campus choice rejects you, there might be a good chance that the secondary campus would accept you. Others say that there’s an equal chance of getting accepted/rejected by both. Any students who have made it to their primary AND secondary campus of interest? I’m starting to find NYUAD more favorable now as I’ve lived in the UAE for a while, and it feels nice being closer to my second home but my application has NYU NYC as my top.
You could call admissions and express an interest in changing your top campus to NYUAD if you want; I know that’s possible.
As for the dual-campus thing, from what I’ve heard in CC, it’s possible to get into both if you’re good enough.
They handle admissions independently. Picking NY over AD will not decrease your chances at AD (and vice versa).
